FAQ

Questions before sending an enquiry

01How does Jakarta Transhipment handle an enquiry?

We handle commercial communication, review the enquiry data and coordinate the requirement with a suitable owner/operator.

02What information is required for a quotation?

At minimum: cargo type, volume, POL, POD and target laycan. Loading, discharge, draft and jetty information will help the principal provide a more relevant response.

03Can availability and rates be confirmed immediately?

Availability and rates are subject to operator confirmation. We will provide them after all required information has been received and confirmed by the principal.

04What barge sizes can be discussed?

As an initial reference, requirements may include 230–250 FT, 270 FT, 300 FT or 330 FT barges. Final selection depends on the cargo, route, jetty conditions and actual vessel capability.

05Do you only handle coal cargo?

The current focus is bulk cargo, particularly coal. Minerals, natural stone, industrial bulk and project cargo can first be reviewed against the requirement and principal capability.

06Can you support recurring shipments?

We can discuss them. Once the route, cargo, volume and laycan pattern are understood, single-voyage or multiple-voyage requirements can be coordinated with the principal.
